History of " House Brewery `t Pakhuis"

The building, where "House Brewery ' t Pakhuis" is located, consists already since 1850. At this time it was used as a warehouse near by the port in the South of Antwerp, until this port was closed in the middle of the last century. In 1996 some people had the idea to again transform this complex into something single and splendid. And how they are successful about it! "House Brewery ' t Pakhuis" is the first and the only house brewery in Antwerp! The brewery is really the heart of the business; the visitor drinks only freshly brewed beer! The principle of the concept results in fact of wisdom and competence from 14 generations from brewers at Brasserie Sterkens in Hoogstraten. They linked this know-how in SBM of Saint Sebastiaan Belgian Microbrewery, which is responsible for the installation of the micro-breweries around the world.
